Choosing Paint Colors
- Paint colors can be picked at Sherwin-Williams
- Paint colors need to be picked and sent to us via text or email the Thursday Before the job starts. We typically text asking for colors shortly after the job is scheduled
Being Prepared for Exterior Painting
- Yard Is Clean and free of dog droppings.
- Move Items Away from house.
- Trim Hedges and Remove Weeds & Grass against the house.
- Cars must be park inside the garage or out on the street before paint work begins
- Allow Access To Water Spigots throughout the painting process
- Keep Children and Pets Away from our team and from the paint and supplies. We want to keep your family safe. Please coordinate with our team if pets need yard access.
- Decorative/String lights must be removed from the home
- It is fine to check up on our team every once in a while, but they work best when they aren't bothered. Painting projects always look best at the end
Being Prepared for Interior Painting
- Move All Furniture to the middle of the room
- Remove All Blinds and Drapery
- Remove All Breakables from rooms being painted
- Remove All Nails and Screws from the walls
- Remove All Frames, Paintings, Posters Any nails that need to stay up must be noted with sticky notes or tape.
- If Desired, Move All Appliances away from walls prior or during painting, if they are not moved, we will not paint behind them. Coordinate this with the team lead
- Keep Children and Pets Away from our team and from the paint and supplies. We want to keep your family safe.
- If needed, clean baseboards before we arrive. If baseboards are unpaintable and require cleaning, additional charges will be added to the invoice.

Being Prepared for Cabinet Painting
- Remove Items From Boxes & Drawers. This will help us easily start our work and keep your items safe from paint and other chemicals
- Clean Grime and Grease Off of the cabinets. Swifthand Painting teams will do a preliminary cleaning but if there is significant cleaning required additional charges will be added to the invoice. (Any heavy cleaning Over 4 Hours)
- Clear Off Countertops, removing all household items from the work area.
- Check All New Hardware to make sure it fits before the job starts
- Give access to the garage and the vehicles are removed from it.
- Be Prepared To Lose Your Kitchen for 3-5 days depending on the size of the project.
- If Desired, Move All Appliances away from the cabinets prior or during painting, if they are not moved, we will not paint behind them. Coordinate this with the team lead

- If new holes for updated hardware are being drilled by homeowner, make sure that it is done before we begin our work
