Painting an occupied building is a planning job before it’s a painting job. Here’s how we approach it.
1. Walkthrough and zone plan We walk the space with you and split it into zones based on how your building is actually used: which areas can close, which can’t, and when they’re quietest.
2. A written schedule your team can see Before we start, you get a schedule showing which zones are being painted and when, so you can tell staff, tenants and visitors in advance.
3. Containment and daily cleanup Each zone is masked off while we work and cleaned at the end of every day, so there’s no mess waiting for your team in the morning.
4. Zone-by-zone sign-off You review each area as it’s finished rather than waiting for the whole job, so any touch-ups are dealt with while we’re still on site.
We back our workmanship for nine years. Most commercial painting contractors in this market offer one to three.
Utah licence 12435694-5501 under both S270 Painting and B100 General Building. Drywall damage, rotted trim and substrate repairs get handled by our crew, not handed to another trade mid-job.
We phase work by area and agree the schedule in writing before we start, so your staff, tenants and customers know what's happening and when.
Certificate of insurance, licence details and a written scope of work before anyone picks up a brush. Everything a property manager or facilities team needs to sign off the job.

Showcasing the Interior commercial painting craftsmanship that defines Swifthand Painting.
Exterior and outdoor work in Utah realistically runs spring through early fall, with application temperatures between roughly 50°F and 85°F. We schedule those jobs early and book them tightly.
Stucco, cedar, brick, vinyl and aluminum all need different preparation. Homes built before 1978 need lead-safe handling, and we’re EPA RRP certified and lead-certified through the Utah Division of Air Quality to do it properly.
Four stages, every job, from a single office suite to a full building. You’ll know what happens next at every point.
Proper preparation creates long lasting results. Our crews complete drywall repair, sanding, caulking, scraping, power washing, and priming as needed. We protect flooring, furniture, landscaping, and surrounding areas to maintain a clean and organized job site.
Using premium paints and proven techniques, we apply smooth, even coats with sharp cut lines and consistent coverage. Whether completing interior painting, exterior painting, or cabinet refinishing, our crew focuses on detail and uniform finish quality. Each layer is applied according to manufacturer specifications for optimal adhesion and durability.
After cleanup, we conduct a thorough walkthrough with you to review every surface and detail. Any touch ups are completed promptly to ensure complete satisfaction. Your project concludes with a polished space and workmanship backed by our craftsmanship guarantee.
Usually, yes. We phase the work by area, so one zone is masked off and being painted while the rest of the building carries on as normal. Shared spaces like lobbies and corridors get scheduled for your quietest periods. The schedule is agreed in writing before we start, so your team knows which areas are out of use and when.
We use low-odour, fast-drying coatings for occupied commercial interiors as standard. If you have staff or visitors who are particularly sensitive, or you’re in a healthcare setting, raise it at the walkthrough and we’ll plan product choice and ventilation around it.
It depends on square footage, how much prep the walls need, and whether we’re phasing around occupancy. A single suite can be a couple of days; a multi-floor refresh is planned zone by zone. You get a firm schedule with your estimate rather than an open-ended window.
Yes. We can match paint to your brand guidelines or to a physical sample, and we’ll put a test patch on the wall for sign-off before we commit to a full room. Colour under office lighting often reads differently from a printed swatch, so the patch is worth the extra ten minutes.
Yes, and they’re a regular part of our commercial work. Patching, repainting and handing back a suite ready for the next tenant, on a timeline that fits your lease dates. Our B100 General Building licence means drywall repairs and minor fixes are handled by our crew as part of the same job.
